YOTHAT (“I”, “me”, “my”) is a freelance WordPress design, development, and SEO practice operated by João dos Reis, based in Oeiras, Portugal. This page explains what personal data this website collects, why, and what rights you have over it, in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

What data I collect

Contact form. When you submit the contact form, I collect the information you provide: name, email address, phone number (if given), and message content. This is used only to respond to your enquiry and, if it leads to a project, to communicate about that project. I don’t add you to any mailing list without separate, explicit consent.

Analytics. This site uses Koko Analytics, a privacy-focused, self-hosted analytics tool. It does not use third-party tracking, does not sell data, and is designed to avoid collecting personally identifiable information where possible.

Fonts. This site loads web fonts from Google Fonts. Fonts are self-hosted rather than loaded from fonts.googleapis.com, avoiding third-party requests entirely (worth it for both privacy and performance).

Cookies

This website protects privacy: We don’t use any non-essential cookies and trackers.

How long data is kept

Contact form submissions are kept only as long as needed to respond to your enquiry or deliver a project, and are deleted when no longer needed unless I’m required to keep them for legal or accounting reasons (e.g. invoicing records).

Your rights

Under GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Request access to the personal data I hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Object to or restrict certain processing
  • Request a copy of your data in a portable format
  • Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — in Portugal, the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (CNPD)
